Wayne began his medical career more than 30 years ago when he became one of the first nationally certified paramedics in the State of Maine. In 1986, he received an Associates Degree as a Registered Nurse from the University of Maine and Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston Maine, with special recognition for medical/surgical and psychiatric nursing. He remained there for a year in the areas of Emergency Medicine and Critical Care medicine.

Upon relocation to Arizona in 1987, his training continued in Critical Care, Emergency/Trauma, and Flight Nursing. Wayne logged more than 4000 medical transports on both helicopters and airplanes across North and Central America. In 1989, he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from the University of Phoenix, and in 2005 a Masters Degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. He is Board Certified in Family Practice from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. He attended an RN First Assist Program allowing him to assist surgeons in the OR, specializing in General and Vascular Surgery.
